On September 16th, Memorial University held a Town Hall session that provided the public with access to the concepts for the new Core Sciences Building and an opportunity to speak with some of the persons involved with the project (you can view these concepts in the gallery below). Our team was there to discuss the project from an architectural standpoint and the reception has been great. There have been talks of updating MUN’s science building for a long time and everyone is excited to finally see major steps being taken in the campus’ plans.

NTV was at the event and captured some interviews with some of the attendees. Our principal, John Hearn, was featured in the segment and spoke briefly about the need for an updated facility and how the new building will be home to the latest and greatest scientific equipment and research space.
