John Hearn NLAA, MRAIC
President, Lead Architect

John Hearn is President and senior design architect of John Hearn Architect Incorporated (JHA), with over thirty years of experience in design and construction of large scale, complex building projects.  Educated in Europe and Canada, he is a member and past president of the Newfoundland Association of Architects, as well as past chairman of the Canadian Committee of Architectural Councils. He is also recipient of a Southcott Award for Heritage Design and the City of Mount Pearl Urban Design Award.

As President of John Hearn Architect Inc. and an Owner/Principal of the predecessor firms of Noseworthy/Hearn Limited and Venture Architects Inc., John Hearn has been responsible for the design of many significant projects throughout Newfoundland & Labrador. Most recently, Mr. Hearn completed:

  • $150M St. John’s Long Term Care Facility
  • $80M Carbonear Long Term Care Facilities
  • $65M Student Residence for Memorial University

Mr. Hearn is currently the design architect for the $100M expansion to the St. John’s International Airport Terminal Building.
